Projects

Our program in Structural Biology and Biophysics focuses on the elucidation of structure-function relationships of soluble and membrane-associated (glyco)-proteins of biomedical and biotechnological importance. We combine structural information obtained via X-ray crystallography, Small-angle X-ray Scattering (SAXS) and Electron Microscopy (EM), with biochemical, biophysical, and cell biological studies to carry out interdisciplinary research within the following five research domains:

- HEMATOPOIETIC CYTOKINE/RECEPTOR INTERACTIONS

- BACTERIAL SECRETION and BIOFILM FORMATION

- REDOX BIOCHEMISTRY and OXIDATIVE STRESS
